Palmar
Norte is full of Costa Rica culture. A quiet friendly
town best known for agriculture and Pre-Columbian
spheres. Find a local to tell you what there theory
is about the spheres. It may not be the same as the
archaeologists. Upon leaving Palmar Norte don't
miss Sierpe.
Sierpe
is a small village that offers a one hour boat ride
on the Rio Sierpe to Bahia Drake. Bahia Drake is for
those who are looking to get away from the crowds.
Bahia Drake is a place of peace and serenity. A 40
minute flight and a boat ride is the only method of
transportation to reach this paradise. You can swim
with 300 or more dolphins, snorkel, walk along the
Sea to Corcovado National Park, find that perfect
private beach where you will be the only one enjoying
the tranquility or canoe up a river to the falls.
This area is where you will see most any kind of bird
or animal you desire. Engulfed in rainforest to the
sea this particular area is simply undescribeable
and a must see.
Golfito
is at the southern end of Costa Rica and is recently
being refurbished into a tourist community with industry
coming to increase the economy. The people of Golfito
are very friendly and enjoy their close nit community.
The Centro Commerical is located here and is a large
plaza of over 100 duty free import stores. Many residents
come for many hours to shop here and take their savings
home with them. A great place for future investment
at bargain prices today. Just a few hours from Panama
makes this a great location for those who enjoy traveling
further south into other Latin American countries.
You can take a boat ride to Puerto Jiminez and visit
Corcovado Park. For those who love to hike this is
a very large and one of the most special parks in
Costa Rica. Then you can continue north to Bahia Drake.
Either way you enter Corcovado it will be a delight.
